Profile and preferences
Your profile holds your personal account details (name, picture, password) and your preferences: how Modulix looks, which language and time zone it uses for you, and personal options of the modules you use.
Open your profile
- Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Select Profile.
The Profile page opens: "Your personal account and preferences."
Change your name or picture
The Account card shows the email address you sign in with.
To change the name other people see:
- In Display name, type your name.
- Select Save. Modulix shows Profile updated.
To set a profile picture:
- Under Profile picture, select Upload a picture.
- Choose an image file: PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF, up to 512 KB.
The picture appears in the sidebar and in the list of users. To go back to your initials, select Remove.
Your name and picture belong to your account, so they are the same in every organization you belong to. You cannot change your email address yourself.
Change your password
- In the Password card, enter your Current password.
- Enter the New password. Use at least 8 characters.
- Select Change password. Modulix shows Password changed.
If you forgot your current password, sign out and use Forgot your password? on the sign-in page instead. See Signing in.
Set your preferences
The Preferences card holds the options that apply to the whole app.

Select Save changes. Modulix shows Preferences saved, and the new language and time zone apply right away.
Organization default means that you follow what an administrator set for the organization. If the organization has no default language either, Modulix uses your browser's language, and if no time zone is set at all, your device's time zone. For the full rules, see Languages and localization.
What your preferences change:
- Language: every menu, button and message, and the emails Modulix sends you.
- Time zone: the dates and times you see, such as when a record was created or when a task is due.
- Number format follows your language: for example,
1,234.56in English and1 234,56in French. The date format is the same for everyone in the organization; an administrator sets it.
Preferences are kept per organization. If you belong to several organizations, you can use a different language or time zone in each.
Module preferences
Modules can add their own preference cards to your profile, titled Module preferences. You see a card for each enabled module that has personal options.

Each card has its own Save changes button.
Some modules add other cards to your profile:
- Notifications: a shortcut to your notification settings. Select Settings to choose what reaches you in the app, by email and with push. See Notifications.
- Organization units: the units of the organization structure you belong to, for example your department and team. An administrator assigns them. See Organization structure.
