Welcome to Modulix

Modulix is a modular business platform that runs in your web browser. It brings together customer relationships (contacts, leads, opportunities), sales (quotations, orders, invoices), purchasing, inventory, accounting and the tools that hold them together (tasks, documents, forms, workflows and notifications) in one workspace for your organization.

This documentation explains how to use each part of Modulix, step by step.

What makes Modulix different

  • You choose the modules. Each organization turns on only the modules it needs, for example just Contacts and Leads to start, then Sales and Accounting later. Turning a module on or off takes effect immediately, with no installation on your computer. See Modules.
  • One workspace, many organizations. One account can belong to several organizations, such as a group's companies or clients you work for, and switch between them. Each organization keeps its own data, users and settings.
  • Access fits your team. Roles decide what each person sees and does, down to "only the records I own" or "my team's records". See Roles and permissions.
  • It adapts to you. Modulix is available in English, French, German and Spanish, and shows dates, times, numbers and amounts in each person's format. See Languages and localization.
  • It connects. Everything you can do in the app is also available through a documented API, with webhooks to notify your other systems. See API keys and webhooks.

Conventions used in this documentation

  • Names of buttons, menus, fields and other labels you see on screen are in bold, exactly as they appear in English: "Select New quotation".
  • Values you type, permission keys and web addresses are in code, for example core.users.manage.
  • Screenshots show a fictional company, Brightline Supply Co., a Canadian distributor working in Canadian dollars. Your screens look different depending on your data, your language and theme.
  • What you see depends on your organization and your roles. If a page or a button described here is missing for you, the module may not be enabled for your organization, or your role may not include the permission. Each page lists the permissions it needs; ask an administrator of your organization.
